Learn to Skate

Here at WWSC we offer a professionally designed CanSkate program, taught by Skate Canada certified coaches, in a positive and fun learning environment.

WWSC’s learn to skate program consists of six integrated stages which encompass basic skating elements that will assist your child in learning how to skate as well as in achieving success at the StarSkate level.

To enforce the importance of having fun while learning, WWSC also hosts monthly theme and dress up days for your CanSkaters. Past theme days have included, “Beach Bonanza,” “Pajama Party,” and our annual Holiday family skate.

CARNIVAL FEES:

Depending on our registrations, each year we put on a year-end show. Our Carnival is a show that is put on for all of our skaters to perform for their families and friends. There will be a Carnival Fee of $60.00 for all Canskate participants and a $100.00 Fee for Advanced skaters. This fee includes one costume rental per skater along with the additional ice and coaching costs. There may be additional charges if more than one costume is required.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS:

Upon registering your child with WWC, we request that your payment accompany your registration form. We accept cash, cheques or VISA, and all cheques should be made payable to “The Woodbine Winter Club.” Skaters may pay 50% of their fee in September, accompanied by a post-dated cheque dated for the 1st of December for the balance of the fee. In addition to registration fees, an administrative fee of $60.00 will be required. ($25.00 Woodbine Winter Club + $35.00 Skate Canada) A $30.00 fee will apply to returned cheques. Requests for cancellation must be made on or before September 16th.
